El Classico!!!

What an amazing game! Real Madrid lost for Barcelona 2-0 in el classico of this! The extraordinary player Lionel Missi scored the forst goal during the first half, and Pedro scored the second is the other! The Real Madrid “people” didn’t feel any good about it! I was in a cafe watching it with a friend of mine, and can tell you the excitement was clear on all the Barca fans!

Haitham and I during the game.

After the game, fans were roaming in their cars with the Catalonian Flags, and others with shirts!

We enjoyed every second! I just want to say congrats to all those supporting Barcelona and to the others yalla ma3leh khayra bi ghayra and let us remember keep your hopes up you never know…maybe one day…

My brother’s ultimate passion

My 12 years old brother, Dany, has a strong passion for soccer and he is the number one fan of FCB :D

And she got married…

We always talked about weddings when we were in school and how we will be present at each ones of our friends…

Samar, my high school friend got married on Thursday. Loulou, my sister, Randa, my cousin and I came to Amman-Jordan to attend her wedding. It was weird to see her in that white dress…she was beautiful…her eyes where sparkling…I guess it is right love makes you happy! It Is hard to describe my feelings when I first saw her…pictures of high school were crossing my mind …how we used to sing during break time and how Samar used to complain about PE, she didn’t like sports…

Samar and her groom

She was smiling all the time, and with everything that was happening she made sure that we were fine, enjoying our time and most importantly that we were dancing around her.

We stayed in Amman for 2 days, Samar left the very next day to Sharam el Sheikh. Lina, my cousin who lives in Jordan, made sure that we enjoyed the rest of our stay It was nice seeing her but what I enjoyed the most is the company of her 2 years old daughter Haya. She is a very smart, funny and sweet little girl.

Haya

On the way back to Beirut, I couldn’t but think about the school days, about Samar, my high school friends and how we all grew up to a have a different life, but luckily some of us were able to keep in touch…

“Dakkat Al sa3a” at LAU

Madona, a friend and a co-worker at Hibr newspaper, and Doaa Fares were the directors of “Dakkat El sa3a” a play by Tawfik Al Hakim that took place at LAU Irwin theatre. The play talks about death ironically. It seems to be comic, but the unexpected ending turns the play tragically.

Madonna, being a perfectionist, liked the result of her hard work but off course she thought some things could have been done better…

Hibr team was present supporting their journalist and cheering for her success, as usual Mounir, a co-worker, couldn’t resist bringing to the theatre some copies of Hibr and handing them in to the audience.
